Assorted Axolotl (Ambystoma mexicanum)

Axolotls thrive in cool, clean water with specific parameters. 

• Ideal temperature is between 60-64°F (15-18°C). 
• The pH should ideally be 7.4-7.6, but they can tolerate 6.5-8.0. 
• Ammonia and nitrite levels should be 0 ppm. Nitrate levels should be kept below 20 ppm. 
• General hardness (GH) should be 7-14 dGH (125-250 ppm)
• carbonate hardness (KH) should be at least 3 dKH (50+ ppm).
